Today was a class work day to work on country projects.

Today we did lecture libre and went over workbook homework.
Then, we had a discussion about the future and about cars.
Devoir: Think about your design for a car of the future. Tomorrow in class you will bring it to life in an illustration/creative project.

Mme Boschker will be out at a workshop on Wednesday so there will be no post.

Today we did 10 minutes of free reading in French, then we went over last week's test. Anyone who has not taken it must make arrangements for this week. Then, we took a verb assessment--need handout. The verb self assessment will be turned in Thursday. There is a verb quiz on irregular -ir verbs (dormir, servir, partir, and sortir, page 272) on Wednesday. There will also be 10 verb forms from the irregular verbs on page 249. Scores higher than those earned on the 3/1 irregular verb quiz will replace deficient scores.

We did review of "si clauses" present--future and of object pronoun past participle agreement in passe compose. Then we worked on ch 7 vocab, pages 210-211, page 212 # 8 in cahier.

Today we went over workbook page 83 #12 and 13, and practiced with irregular verbs. Next Tuesday will be a work day for the projects (due Thurs, per 3, 5 and Fri, per 1, 6) and Wednesday will be a verb quiz.

Today we worked on passe compose, object pronouns, and past participle agreement with direct object pronouns. Then, students had time to finish vocabulary in a picture, due Monday.

Today we had a quiz. This must be made up if absent. Then we did reading on "Le decalage horaire" on page 280, and we added the irregular -ir verbs sortir, partir, dormir and servir to verb chart. See book page 272.

Today we went over "Si clauses" present-future. Then, we started ch 7 vocab activity. On the handout vocabulary in a picture, everyone must pick 8 nouns and 8 verbs from page 234 and follow the directions. Today we did some conversation practice with quel/quelle and practiced interpreting it and answering questions to it. Then, we did verb practice. Quiz tomorrow on Ch 8 vocab, regular -ir verbs (p 268), quel/quelle, and reading.

Today we did a dictee and then practiced verb forms in various tenses. Dictee does not need to be made up.

We talked about the forms and uses of the word quel/quelle (page 270 in book). We completed workbook page 82 #10. We talked about Thursday's test and finished discussing the story "Un Voyage a destination de Paris".
Devoir: study for test Thursday. There will be multiple choice and matching vocab questions, grammar on regular -ir verbs and quel/quelle, and a reading selection.
Also, finish translating the 25 segments from the story into your cahier.

We did a 15-minute timed write and then a speaking activity to prepare for Q3 speaking assessment. We started vocabulary ch 8, pages 206-207.

We did lecture libre (free reading) for 10 minutes. Then we had conversation about the weekend in the past tense and went over 1-25 of story.

We did workbook page 69#14 then had conversation using the two future tenses, futur proche and futur simple. We talked about the infinitive in both, then did a listening activity to distinguish between past and future.

Must include: verbs in future tense, object pronouns, faire + infinitive (making something happen), negation other than "pas", extensive vocabulary and some vocab from French 2

Wrote questions to Ex 11, page 269 from book. Went over francophone country research project. All students are part of a group that will create a project on a francophone country. Countries and groups have been assigned.

Today we reviewed meaning of faire + infinitive and object pronouns.
We did intense study of workbook page 68.

We talked about the areas of the French speaking world and indicated preferences for a culture project. We talked about "ir" verbs, page 268. We put the forms of finir on the verb chart and talked about "ir" verbs from new handout.

Devoir: complete vocabulary in a picture page 2 with 8 verbs from page 288. For all words not used on the vocabulary in a picture, complete your choice of activite de vocabulaire: flashcards, word ladder, drawings.

We completed page 183 # 13 in cahier to practice future. We did 8 minutes of lecture libre. We went over the chapter 6 test and practiced using double object pronouns in speech.

Devoir: workbook page 68, all. Complete all sentences and translate the even numbers.

Today we went over the irregular verb quiz. Students should have self corrected and made a note that will help them learn verbs for the next time. We did activities #6 on page 266 and # 8 on page 267 orally to practice vocabulaire. We had some time at the end of class to start on homework and finish the TinTin video.
Cahiers were turned in periods 5/6, and journals were checked for timed writes all periods.

Devoir: choose 8 words from the first three sections of vocab on page 288. For each, follow the instructions on the handout Vocabulary in a Picture.

Today we practiced the negation: workbook page 58 # 15 & 16 and purple handout, which was turned in. We did some practice speaking with object pronouns. We then talked about the meaning of using faire + another verb in the infinitive form (see page 187).

Today we continued to work on vocabulary from chapter 8. We went over the different types of flights and reviewed workbook page 79. Exercises #1 and 2 from page 262 should be completed by tomorrow.
Devoir: finish #1 & 2 if necessary and review vocab on pages 264-265 and do workbook page 80 #4, 5.

Francais 2
Today we did a warm up using the futur tense and practiced some listening exercises. The reading on pages 192-193 was completed on the handout.
Devoir: Chapter 6 vocab test tomorrow on presentations, recipe steps, and food.

We did silent reading then worked on paragraphs 1-2 of the Journal intime du surfeur des neiges.
