Français 1
Today we reviewed adjectives, articles, and m/f.
We worked with adjectives in the story and then turned them in.
We talked about word placement in French--how most adjectives come after the noun (une fille blonde, un garçon énérgique) and the set that come before. The adjectives that come before the noun are known as BANGS, words that describe, beauty (beau, belle), age, number, goodness, or size (grand, petit) (une petite fille, un beau garçon).
We worked in the "grand livre" (big book) on page 29, and in the workbook on page 6.
Devoir (homework) workbook page 6#14, quiz Wednesday on articles un/une, le/la/l', and masculine/feminine adjectives
Quiz Friday on the verb être
Français 2
Today we continued our discussion of the partitif and what to do when it is negative. After pas, du, de la, de l', and des all change to de (or d'). It's like changing some to any in English.
I've got some chocolate. I haven't got any chocolat.
J'ai du chocolat. Je n'ai pas de chocolat.
Devoir: creez une pizza selon vos gouts.
Choisissez 10 ingrédients, au moins 3 que vous n'aimez pas.
Organisez les 10 ingrédients en 2 catégories:
j'aime / je n'aime pas
Puis indiquez ceux que tu manges:
je mange/je ne mange pas
Use the appropriate article in each case.
Illustrez la pizza.
Upcoming: quiz on pouvoir/vouloir vendredi
